Soldiers' Home.—There are now domiciled at the Soldiers' Home, on Cary street, some twelve or fifteen hundred men. The usual dress parade is had every evening, the soldiers assembling on Cary, and parading in review on Dock street. The military evolutions are performed by the men with the skill and precision of veterans. The building is capable of affording sleeping accommodation for twenty-seven hundred men. It is understood that the Soldiers' Home is designed for the use of such soldiers as may arrive in Richmond en route for their respective regiments, and who may be detained here for want of transportation, or other unavoidable reasons.
