To be Sent Away. – For many months past Castle Godwin has been used as a sort of "wayside inn" for the temporary accommodation of some of the reprobates of the military persuasion with which the "Army of the Potomac" has occasionally abounded. As a place of temporary detention it would answer a very good purpose, doubtless; but many of the Confederate officers who have caused delinquent soldiers to be cooped up there have evidently come to the conclusion that the place was nothing more nor less than a hospital for incurables. They have not called for men who long since might have been expiating some of their misdeeds by joining their comrades on the field of battle. Gen. Winder has determined that this shall no longer be the case. All soldiers now at the Castle, after being advertised, will, if not called for, be discharged.
