From the Richmond Dispatch, 6/2/1862, p. 2, c. 3
Attention Citizens. – Our citizens are earnestly requested to attend at the depot of the York River Railroad during to-day, with such conveyances as they may be able to procure, also, spare mattresses, beds, food, and drink, for the wounded soldiers who will be arriving by that route from the battle-field. This matter admits of no delay. We are confident that all will show a willingness to repeat the noble work of yesterday in the way of succor to our brave defenders.
