This hospital is composed of five divisions, containing three thousand (3000) beds. Until recently, the Rev. R. N. Crooks has been the only chaplain, assisted by the Revd Mr. Hershey and Madison, send here by their churches, the Rev. Mr. Maury, was sent to the first division as chaplain, but has left, the Rev. Mr. Hershey has been commissioned chaplain to the third division.
We the Chaplains here now would most respectfully recommend and request that the Rev. Mr. Madison, who has been here for eleven (11) months laboring efficiently as a colporteur, for chaplaincy to the second division, which contains six hundred (600) beds.
