Medical Director's Office, June 15 '64
Madam:
Your letter of June 9th has been received. Surg. Garnett has probably informed you the Robertson Hos will be continued under certain conditions, which are such as all C. S. Hospitals are administered under. It has been very unpleasant and mortifying to me to oppose the wishes of ladies, especially in a matter that belongs to the public service only and should not be made personal.
Very Respectfully &c.
Wm. A. Carrington
Medical Director
