A Captive Newspaper Correspondent – Several Yankees were brought to the Libby prison on the Central cars, on Thursday night, and lodged there for early transmission to their homes. Among the number was a man named J. H. Vosburg, a correspondent of the New York Herald captured at Ellis’s Ford on the 27th April; also, Jules Schoenofsky, Capt. and Adjt of Gen. Schertz, a Dutch Yankee of the Sigel pattern, captured at Kelly’s Ford April 29th; and Alberius Herpending, of Co B 4th Pa cavalry, captured at Cedar Run April 26th.
