Prison Items. – Sergeant W R Hayard, of co E, 26th Va regt, died yesterday, after a brief illness, at the hospital of the Libby prison. Sundry men, charged with desertion, were received at the prison on the same day, and a number were forwarded to Fredericksburg, in charge of Detective New, to be placed in their respective regiments.
