Ambulance Calls.
The ambulance, Dr. Irvine in charge, was called out twice yesterday.
At 1 o’clock p. m., to the Tredegar Works to see Thomas Bean, a colored man who had been badly hurt by a piece of timber falling on his back. He was relieved and taken to his home, corner of St. Paul and Charity streets.
At 4:30 p. m.. to Belle Isle to see a colored man named Hurt, whose foot had been caught in an elevator, and two of the toes crushed. The injured members were amputated, and he was taken home on Twenty-third street between Main and Franklin.
