WESTHAM IRON MANUFACTURING COMPANY. – Judge Christian has granted a charter to Joseph R. Anderson, of Richmond; Frederick W. Wolcott, of New York city; Davis Hoadley, of New York; Charles P. Stone, of Dover, Va.; and Leslie Chase, of New York, to form a company, under the name and style of the Westham Iron Company, for the purpose of manufacturing iron. The capital stock is $100,000, with the right to increase it to $500,000 to be divided into shares of $100 each. The company will hold real estate to the amount of 2,000 acres in the county of Augusta, 5,000 in Rockbridge, 500 in Henrico, 500 in Appomattox, 2,000 in Amherst, and 2,000 in Nelson. The principal office is to be kept and the chief business to be transacted at Westham, Henrico county, on the James River and Kanawha canal, five miles from Richmond. 

The following gentlemen are officers of the company for the first year:
President. – F. H. Walcott, of New York.
Secretary. – Leslie Chase, of New York.
Directors. – W. H. Aspinwall, of New York; Joseph R. Anderson, of Virginia; David Hoadley, of New York; Allan Campbell, of New York; Joel Parker, of Massachusetts; Joseph W. Alsop, of New York; and Charles P. Stone, of Virginia.
