Mayor's Court – There were several cases before this court yesterday of some little interest.
Robert Pierman, a lubberly chap of seventeen or eighteen, was sent on for stealing pig iron from the Tredegar works. The iron was found secreted in his house. It appears that the Oregon Hill boys have an organized system for stealing iron from the Tredegar. They loiter about the premises during the day, and from time to time pitch pieces of iron into the canal. At night they fish up the iron so deposited and carry it off.
