The Stewards [Stuart] Hospital capacity 400 is opened as a Receiving Hospl for sick & wounded arriving by the Fredericksburg Depot. If the Receiving & Wayside becomes filled you will transfer 400 to this Hospital retaining a sufficient number to go to Petersburg tomorrow as directed.
I design transferring a number of men from 250 to 400 to Danville tomorrow & will let you know in time, in the meantime retain for this purpose as will not be fit for duty within 10 days & upwards.
