THE VIRGINIA SENATORSHIP. – From a Richmond correspondent we receive the information that Franklin Stearnes, of that city, and General Robert Williams are the leading names mentioned for the United States Senatorship, which will soon be at the disposal of a reconstructed Virginia. Mr. Stearnes, a native of New York, has resided in Richmond thirty years. He was a Whig as long as the Whig party existed, and was a consistent Union man throughout the war; having shared imprisonment with John Minor Botts. General Williams is known as the husband of the widow of Stephen A. Douglass. Both gentlemen are allied with the Walker section of the Republican party. – New York Times.
