Gilmer, who has been a chronic office-seeker for many years, and Colonel Nye, The Gilmer delegation, headed by Judge Rives, arrived to-day [Thursday], and called upon the President, but as Postmaster Forbes has not yet been officially notified to step down and out the President did not give the delegation any encouragement.
