A BOLD GAME BLOCKED. – An unsophisticated individual was enticed into the old United States Hotel, on Main street, yesterday, by two thieves, who pretended that a good drink could be got there by nice management, and suddenly found himself toppled over, choked half to death and then robbed. When the unfortunate fellow got out, he immediately obtained the assistance of the martial police who returned with him and arrested the two offenders. When lodged in Castle Godwin, one of them "blowed" on the "hotel;" a guard was thereupon detailed to search the premises, and a bar-room was discovered in the third story. The owner thereof was arrested and his sparkling viands were confiscated.
