INTERESTING DECISION. - Judge John A. Meredith yesterday morning decided the case of Dr. A. E. Peticolas, brought before him on a habeas corpus, praying to be discharged from the custody of Justices Lee and Riddick, of Henrico, who committed him for contempt, in refusing, on the ground that he might implicate himself, to testify in the case of the Elmore and Daniel duel.
The learned Judge decided that Dr. Peticolas could not be obliged to testify, and discharged him from custody.
John B. Young, Esq., Commonwealth's Attorney, will carry the matter to the Supreme Court.
The examination of Messrs. Elmore and Daniel will be resumed before the county court this morning.
