Assaulting a Woman. – Julius Karsch and Ignatiz Beacherson were before the Mayor yesterday for entering the residence of Harriet Helan, at the corner of 7th and Cary streets, assaulting and beating her, and threatening to take her life. One of the parties, when captured by the watchmen, had a pistol, and the other a formidable sword cane; but neither had been used. The Mayor required each of them to give $200 security for their good behavior, which they had not succeeded in doing when we left the Court-room.
