Prison Items – The following persons were received at Castle Thunder on Saturday and Sunday: B. Riley, Haskin's artillery, desertion, Harry Scean, co A, Battery 4, desertion; Lieut. J. H. Smith, sent from Provost Marshal of Lynchburg, with twenty-four soldiers charged with desertion; W. W. Cannon, co H, 58th N. C, desertion, John King, co C, 14th La, desertion; Robert Taylor, co I, 6th Va, desertion; Thos. Scanlon, drunk; John E McCracy, co F, 15th N. C; P. Holler, co F, 38th N. C.; Wiley Fanikner co K, 54th N. C.; John W. Myrick, co G; 46th N. C.; Knock Jordan, co F, 46th N. C; Avis Jones, co B, 46th N. C.; Joshua Enscore, co C.; 31 N. C; S. Bett, co C, 33d N. C; Alexander Spaugh co I, 33d N. C; Alex Dunham, co I, 61st N. C.; John Cox, co F, 3d N. C. The soldiers sent to this prison, if not charged with offences demanding trial by court-martial, are sent off every few days in squads and companies to their respective regiments. There were yesterday between four and six hundred men in the prison, including Yankees.
